Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Peoplenet was founded in 1990 with the goal of simplifying the function of time keeping so that HR and Operations leaders could get back to managing people. Driven by a passion to provide targeted solutions for our clients, Peoplenet focuses on two distinct markets: Healthcare and Contingent Labor. Our healthcare offerings are geared towards renal care, long-term care and urgent care facilities. In the Contingent Labor market, we focus on being the network that connects buyers, suppliers and talent.

Our Executive Team
Chief Executive Officer
Ed has spent his career designing, building and managing technology solutions that are geared towards making things more efficient. He has been a Partner in a consulting firm, a software engineer, a supply-chain leader for a retail company and the leader of a services company from its inception to $50MM in revenue. Ed is a versatile, pragmatic leader with a passion for quality products and even higher quality service. Prior to joining Peoplenet in 2010, Ed was the Global CIO for a pharmaceutical company. He has consulted for numerous Fortune 500 companies, helping them implement ERP solutions and the processes that support them.
Ed enjoys spending time with his family, playing and coaching sports, golf, snow skiing and generally anything that gets him outside.
Education: Industrial and Systems Engineering Degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Chief Operating Officer
Steve Taylor has over 30 years of experience in technology and operational leadership positions including 20 years in the staffing and recruiting technology industry. Steve spent 19 years with Caldwell Spartin, VCG and Bond as VP of Operations, President and CEO. Prior to that he was responsible for various leadership positions in the CRM and medical software industries. Steve is customer focused and committed to delivering high-quality solutions that help companies solve their day-to-day business needs.
Steve is nearly an Atlanta native, having called Atlanta home for over 40 years. He has been married to his wife Kim for 32 years, and they have five sons. Steve enjoys all sports and the great outdoors, including tennis, hiking, kayaking, running, and generally anything that avoids Atlanta traffic as much as possible.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Georgia State University.
Chief Revenue Officer
Andy Zarkadas has over 10 years of experience in sales and operational leadership within the staffing and workforce management industry. In his role as Chief Revenue Officer, Andy is responsible for Peoplenet’s sales, marketing, and growth strategies. He and his team work closely with Peoplenet’s customers, prospects and channel partners to find better ways to connect suppliers and buyers of talent in today’s marketplace. Prior to joining Peoplenet, Andy was Managing Director – North America at Guidant Group, an Impellam Group company, where he and his team designed and delivered global workforce management solutions for some of the world’s leading companies.
Andy is a native of North Carolina but has called Atlanta home for the past 12 years. He attended the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, where he studied Political Science while also attending some of the best college basketball games in the country. Andy is an avid golfer, loves to conduct business on the course, and has never turned down an invite to join a corporate outing or member-guest.
Education: Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
Chief Financial Officer
John McEwan is the Chief Financial Officer for Peoplenet. He manages the finance and procurement departments for the company. John is a committed leader with a passion for delivering superior service.
Before he joined Peoplenet in 2011, John ran a consulting firm that provided CFO services to small- to medium-size companies. He previously served as Southeast Regional Controller for the Quikrete Companies. John began his career in public accounting concluding his tenure with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked in audit and transactional services.
John enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, traveling, participating in and attending sporting events and snow skiing.
Education: Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Dartmouth College and an MBA in Strategy from the University of Alabama.
Chief People Officer
Brenda Silverman is a results-oriented Human Resource professional with a hands-on management style and extensive direct work with managers and senior executives in both high-growth and start-up environments. With over 16 years of corporate HR experience, Brenda is dedicated to our people strategy, handling responsibilities in employee relations and development, compensation and benefits planning, recruiting and overall strategic planning. Prior to joining Peoplenet, Brenda spent 10 years with VCG/Bond International Software as the VP of Human Resources, and held previous HR roles in software and retail environments.
Born and raised in Michigan, Brenda transferred to the Atlanta area years ago, and found her new home. She has been married to her husband Jim for 20 years. They spend time away from work with their two dogs, enjoying outdoor activities within their community. They enjoy traveling, their two most recent ventures being a trip to Hawaii and then to Alaska.
Education: Attended Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and received Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Western Governors University.
